Life Adventure Center is a nonprofit outdoor educational center nestled on almost 1000 beautiful acres in heart of the Bluegrass region of Kentucky. We changes lives thru outdoor adventure. Our camps and retreats build resiliency, communication, teambuilding and leadership skills. So much more than mere recreation- our innovative outdoor adventures employ evidence based theories of experiential education, group dymanics, psychology and trauma recovery to achieve life-changing, break-thru transformations. Our programs help veterans heal from PTSD, military families reconnect, and impoverished kids build resilience. Serving 600 participants in 2016, we also work with "mainstream" clients including schools, universities, sports teams and even corporate groups. Our team is passionate about the healing power of guided outdoor adventures. Tight-knit, mutually supportive, casual (dog-friendly) yet professional workplace. Company History
Born from the merger of an 1880s orphanage and a contemporary wilderness camp for impoverished kids, Life Adventure Center is proud of its 100+ years’ service to those in need. In 2006, the renewed and rebranded non-profit moved operations to its current location in Woodford County. Nestled in 575 spectacular acres, guests experience the healing power of nature through retreats, camps and guided outdoor adventures.
