Christian Appalachian Project is seeking a Human Resources Payroll Specialist who is passionate about people, committed to excellence, and ready to make a meaningful impact through their work.
This is more than a payroll position. We are looking for an experienced professional who can successfully manage payroll administration, leave administration (FMLA and other employee leave programs), and employee support, while serving as a trusted and positive member of our Human Resources team.
The ideal candidate will bring:
Prior payroll administration experience
Experience administering FMLA and employee leave programs

Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Associates in a Related Field Preferred
Years of Experience:
2 or more years of successful experience in related field or combination of education and experience
Extensive related experience may substitute for education requirements and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Certifications and Licensure:
Possess a Valid Kentucky Driver's License and Maintain a Safe Driving Record Required
CAP Driving Certification* (or ability to obtain within first 90 days) Required
*In order to drive personal vehicle on CAP business, must obtain and maintain a policy of motor vehicle insurance coverage on privately-owned vehicle with insurance coverage amounts of $50,000 bodily injury per person per accident; $100,000 bodily injury for all bodily injuries per accident; and $50,000 property damage per accident.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to reach, push, pull, bend, stoop, stand, walk
Lift 45 lbs
Lifts/moves items with unknown weight or that are awkward shapes and sizes with assistance
Sit for extended periods of time
Have good visual acuity with corrective lenses
Have good hearing capabilities
