Description

Weekend Managers are responsible for the management of Ashland, The Henry Clay Estate on Saturdays and Sundays. This includes, but is not limited to, opening and closing procedures, museum store management and sales, ticket sales, supervision of volunteer tour guides, and monitoring the grounds. Weekend Managers are on the front line of service providing a welcoming space for visitors. Weekend Managers are expected to provide accurate information about the tours offered and basic information about other historic attractions in the Lexington area.  

Requirements

• Ability to commit to two full weekends a month (both Saturday, 9:30am - 5:00 pm; and Sunday, 12:30 - 5:00 pm).
• Must be able to stand and speak for extended periods of time.
• Strong interpersonal, customer services, and hospitality skills.
• Excellent public speaking skills.
• Interest in American and Kentucky history, Henry Clay, Ashland, and related topics.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Familiarity and comfort with basic computer operations.
